How do I rank a website on Google first page in 2019?

According to a study conducted by Bright Edge Data, “Organic search was the largest driver of traffic to websites across sectors studied, & the largest driver of revenue.” It makes sense, because the internet is often the first place we turn to, to find something that we need or an answer to a question that we have. To get found online when your target audience searches for the keywords related to your product or services, your website needs to be properly optimized. What is a keyword? A keyword – in relation to search engine optimization – is a word, phrase or sentence that describes your product/service or a topic that is of interest to your audience. For example ‘design’ is a broad term, but it is still a keyword. Web design, interior design, fashion design are all keywords but t are more specific to a particular niche. ‘How to design a website’, is a topic that others may want an answer to. These are all considered keywords. Ranking for a keyword, or getting your website indexed by search engines for that matter, can take six weeks or more. I would like to share with you the steps on how to rank for keywords on Google in one week. 1. Select the right keywords – The right keywords are keywords that are highly relevant to your business that your target audience is using to search for your products/services. Often times, this may not be what you think it is, so there is no point guessing. There are many keyword tools such as Google Keyword planner that can give you insight into what keywords your target audience is using, what the search volume is and how competitive those keywords are. You want to ensure that the keyword has a good search volume with low to medium competition. 2. Optimize a dedicated page – As a general rule of thumb you should optimize one keyword per page. You want to make sure that those keywords are placed on key areas on your website such as your page title, your page url, your headline, your images and throughout your page content. This tells the search engines when the keyword you are optimizing for is searched by a user that your web page is relevant to that search, because the keyword has been placed in key areas throughout your website. 3. Submit the page to Google – As previously stated, if you wait for Google to find the page(s) you are optimizing for, it can take several weeks. The key is being proactive and submitting the page to Google via the Google Webmaster tool, so that Google can come back and crawl the page in a shorter period of time. This will allow you to get indexed a lot sooner and rank higher. 4. Build backlinks to boost ranking – There are thousands of pages that are ranking long before you for the same keyword. So how do you get to the top? You build links pointing back to your website, known as backlinks to the page that you are optimizing for specifically. Most sites link to their homepage, but if you want to get to the top for a specific keyword and you have a dedicated page, you need to build links to it directly. Each backlink is a vote, the more you get the higher you get to the top of the rankings. 5. Get traffic to that page – This may seem counter-productive since your goal is to get organic traffic. But to show the search engines that this is in fact an important page, send the page out to your contacts notifying them of the service and generating some traffic to the page, so that the search engines can see movement on that page. If you are wondering why you are not getting found online by your target audience it could because your website is not properly optimized. These are the steps I recently took to rank for my keyword SEO Classes NYC in one week. Thanks for the question, I hope it helps you…
